Methodist Missionary History Discussion List
The MMHP History Project hosts a discussion list for those interested in the history of the Methodist missions. The aim of the list is to improve communication between historians and to further research. The list allows individuals to send email messages which will be seen by all members, for example, to share information about conferences or new resources. The list may also be useful as a forum for queries about MMS history. As new members join the list and introduce themselves it should improve links between those studying in this field.
To subscribe send the following in the body (not the subject line) of an email message to Majordomo@lists.ed.ac.uk:
This will subscribe the account from which you send the message to the MMS-history list. You will receive an immediate acknowledgment. There will then be a short delay while your request to join the list is processed. New members are asked to post an initial message to introduce themselves and explain their main fields of interest.
If you wish to subscribe another address instead (such as a local redistribution list), you can use a command of the form: subscribe MMS-history other-address@your_site.your_net
To post send your email to MMSfirstname.lastname@example.org.
The MMHP-history list will only accept postings from those who are already members. The list is not moderated so please exercise common sense and courtesy in the content of messages. The content of messages does not necessarily reflect the views of the MMS History Project or the University of Edinburgh. If you want to contact Prof. Andrew Walls or Dr. Kirsty Murray please use their individual email addresses.
